FAQ for the area of the Bavarian town of Leavenworth WA, the Upper Valley, and Lake Wenatchee, Fish Lake Recreation Area.
Additional questions should be emailed to: booking@featherwinds.com.  Lodging, wedding, reception, anniversary questions can be quickly answered via email. Please read the information below before emailing.

In Case of an Emergency:
Dial 911. Then notify Featherwinds Staff, dial 763-0698 or 763-1040. Featherwinds Staff will help direct emergency services to your lodged location. If you use your cell phone to call 911, you may connect to your local 911 operator, not the 911 operator for Chelan County. Please use the land line phone in the lodge you have booked, if reasonable.

Check In Time:
If you have are booked at the B & B, the bed and breakfast style Guest Inn, the Cascade Berry Bunkhouse, the Country Garden Guest Lodge or at the Frontier Cabin, check in is anytime after 3:00 pm. If you are checking in to the B & B, please go directly there. If you are checking into any of the other facilities, please check in at the B & B style Guest Inn.

Check Out Time:
Check out time for all of our facilities is 11:00 am.

Cleaning Deposit or Fees for Cabins, Lodges, Vacation Rental Homes
All of our published prices include basic cleaning fees. If for some reason there is excessive cleaning required, your credit card will be charged accordingly.

Directions - Getting to Featherwinds
Please use our driving directions and map provided on this website. Some navigation systems are not accurate! So please do not rely on your navigation system or internet mapping websites. Our written directions and a map are provided on our website for you. Using our directions will bring you directly to Featherwinds from highway 2, either east or west of Leavenworth.

No Pets
Pets are not allowed at any of our facilities. No pets are allowed even if they are to be kept outside. Our extreme hot and cold temperatures are not good for animals unless they are use to this area. Due to allergies and health issues, pets are not allowed in any of our facilities and we do not provide a clean up service for animals. Day Use Only Guests are not allowed to bring pets.

No Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside any of our facilities, because of state law and because of health issues, we do not allowing smoking in our facilities. There is an outside smoking area at each of our facilities. Smoke areas are normally near parking areas.

Housekeeping and Maintenance: Bed & Breakfast, B & B style Guest Inn and Lodges
Featherwinds has onsite staff and maintenance personnel should there be any problems, issues or concerns during your stay. During the first hour of check in and stay, you are to contact the main office concerning any issues you discover upon arrival. Within the first hour of your stay you should walk through the facility you have booked to make sure there are no issues. Should an issue arise during the course of your stay, you should contact the main office immediately. Please do not wait until check out to discuss maintenance issues. Contact information is listed at each lodge/cabin.

Gift Certificates:
Gift certificates are available. You can order gift certificates online at: Gift Certificates. Gift certificates are valid for 6 months after date of purchase. No refunds are given on gift certificates.

Cancellation Policy:

Weddings, Holidays and Festival Weekends
For any and all accommodations here at Featherwinds, there is NO CANCELLATION and a two-night minimum stay is required for weddings, holidays and festival weekends.

Bed & Breakfast and the Guest Inn, Rooms and Suites
We charge your credit card the cost of one-night plus any added services and tax as deposit at time of booking. There is a seventy-two (72) hour notice required prior to your arrival date for any cancellations. No refunds will be made if cancellation is within seventy-two (72) hours of arrival date. If we are able to rebook your canceled accommodations within the seventy-two hours after you notify us, we will refund, less a $35.00 cancellation fee.

Cabins/Lodges/Vacation Rental Homes
We charge your credit card 50% of the booked value at time of booking. The remaining balance is due forty-five (45) days prior to arrival. Cancellation forty-five (45) days or more prior to arrival date is subject to a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent (50%) OF THE TOTAL BOOKED VALUE. If notification is less then forty-five (45) days prior to arrival date, there will be no refund unless the premises is re-booked for the canceled days. In the event refunds are granted, the refund will be only equal to the extent the premises are occupied, less a $35.00 cancellation fee. No refund for deletion of guests within forty-five (45) days prior to arrival date. There will be no refund for any unused portion of your stay. Damage deposit, check or credit card authorization must be provided upon arrival. Valid credit card information and authorization is required in lieu of a damage deposit.

Featherwinds maintains 2 online blogs. Our original blog and a new Live Blog. We try to monitor the live blog daily and respond to any posts as soon as possible. Our blogs are not meant to offer a form of instant messaging. We use our blogs to post new specials, weather updates, available accommodations and special news flashes. Long Distance Calls:
Each of our lodges, cabins and vacation homes have a private phone line for local calls. A calling card is required for any long distance phone calls. Cell phone coverage is not reliable in the mountain areas. Our Guest Inn has a phone available to registered guests at the Inn and the B and B. A calling card will be required for long distance calls.
Calls placed to the following prefixes are considered "local calls" and do not require a calling card.

Local calling prefixes: 763, 762, 662, 663, and 548.
